Anne Chestney Mudd graduated cum laude from John Marshall Law School, where she served on Law Review. In addition, she holds a master's degree with honors from the University of Louisville.

She received training in mediation from Pepperdine University School of Law and the College of DuPage. Anne also served as a mediation intern with Margaret S. Powers, an internationally-known mediator and trainer of mediators.

Prior to embarking on a law career, Anne succeeded in education, retail ownership, and real estate, as well as serving on boards of civic and government organizations while raising her three sons. She brings to the profession of law a hands-on understanding of the issues that affect people. Leveraging that understanding allows her to negotiate common ground and build workable solutions.

She is a member of the Mediation Council of Illinois; the Collaborative Law Institute of Illinois, serving as Secretary of the Board of Directors; the Association for Conflict Resolution; the American Bar Association; the Illinois State Bar Association; the West Suburban Bar Association; the DuPage County Bar Association; and the DuPage Association of Women Lawyers. She also serves on the Suburban Chicago Planned Giving Association; the National Association of Women Business Owners; and as President of the West Suburban Women Entrepreneurs.
